Classical concert to the Gede Ruins
The Italian Cultural Institute of Nairobi, the cultural office of the Italian Embassy in Kenya, in collaboration with the Kenya National Museum, will bring live classical music for the first time to the enchanting and evocative setting of the Gede Ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage site between Malindi and Watamu.
Within the protected archaeological area and the museum of the same name, which preserves the memory of one of the oldest known Arab settlements on the Kenyan coast, the Enkare String Quartet, one of Kenya’s most renowned string quartets, will perform on Saturday, February 15th at 5:45 PM.
